Job Description / Responsibility

Developing Lokaj Eo-friendly Agri-enterprise (LEFAE) and its marketing wing named Lokaj Bazar as an alternative value chain led by farmer organizations.
Developing necessary policies, management systems, operational guidelines, business plan etc. for LEFAE.

Developing capacity of both producers & staff for collective production, processing, quality control & packaging of safe food products by developing and using appropriate capacity development tools as well as organizing & facilitating training courses.
Developing capacity of the farmer organization in establishing & managing local level processing & sales centers.

Establish and manage district & Dhaka level outlets of safe/organic food products and develop market linkage with relevant entrepreneurs.

Designing & implementation of market promotional activities as well as raising consumers’ awareness on consumption of safe/organic food by using IT expertise.
Leading the marketing team for target oriented marketing of safe food products.
Ensure legal compliance of marketing of safe food products.
Efficient management of processing center and storehouse of UD.
Coordinate and liaison with relevant program personnel & external authorities.
Planning, monitoring and reporting of marketing activities as mentioned above.
Any other responsibilities as per need and assigned by the organization.

Job Nature

Educational Requirements

BBA/MBA/ Masters in Marketing/ Agricultural Economics or relevant discipline from reputed university.
The candidate having marketing/business management background and experience on agri-marketing, online marketing and IT will be given special preference.

Experience Requirements

At least 3 year(s)
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Development Agency, Direct Selling/Marketing Service Company, E-commerce, Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Group of Companies, Market Research Firms, Multinational Companies, NGO

Job Requirements

Age 25 to 35 year(s)
Should have minimum 3 years working experience in relevant field.
Should have good command in relevant computer application programs eg. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Should have good understanding, command and skill on value chain management, e-commerce, online and offline based promotional materials development and e-marketing tools.
Should have capacity & experiences on social marketing, preparing business plan, market analysis skill etc.
Should have very good writing & communication skill both in English & Bengali languages and ability to work with foreign expert.
Willingness and ability to take challenge and work under stress.

Salary Range
Monthly gross BDT 40,000/-
